Floral Watercolour Workshop
Join us at Scone Palace on Friday 21st August for a wellbeing and therapeutic workshop devoted to the art of floral watercolour painting.
We will be based in the calming and tranquil summerhouse, using the flowers from the historic Palace gardens as delightful inspiration. There will be chance to relax and explore the gardens as well.
Hosted by floral and textile artist Clare Robinson, this workshop is designed to introduce beginners and intermediates to the medium of loose watercolour, helping you nurture and develop your own style.
You will learn how to illustrate seasonal flowers and foliage from the gardens, experimenting with loose style watercolour technique to convey the beautiful rich colours and textures of the season.
Clare will demonstrate over the morning and there will be plenty of one-on-one guidance to help enhance your observation and expressive painting skills. We will explore quick sketching with watercolours, pencils and pen too.
The workshop will include all art materials and flowers, but if you have your own art materials you are more than welcome to bring along.
Tea/coffee & shortbread will be provided.
A little about your tutor for the workshop ~
