A £5 parking fee applies for the period 1st February - 31st March. There is no charge for Friends of Scone Members, Historic Houses Card Holders, RHS Members or Blue Badge Holders.Parking is free for visitors during the main season 1st April - 31st October. There are plenty of car parking spaces available for up to 200 cars, some hard-standing and the remainder on grass
The main car park is just a few minutes walk to the Palace entrance.
No, we do not permit drones to be used at Scone Palace.
No. Smoking and Vaping are not permitted within the Palace and Gardens
Yes, we have some spaces as close as possible to the entrance of the Palace. Please ask our staff on arrival, and they will direct you to these spaces. There is a wheelchair lift into the Palace which is accessed via the Gift Shop.
Dogs on leads are allowed in the gardens surrounding the Palace, but not in the Maze. Please respect our surroundings and pick up any waste after your dog and dispose of it in the litter bins which are situated in various places around the gardens. We do not advise that you leave your dog in the car. Water bowls are available at the front of the Palace. Assistance dogs are welcome in the Palace.
Yes, you are welcome to picnic next to the car park where there is a designated picnic area.
You may cycle to the Palace and leave your bike in the cycle rack in the parking area and then, afterwards, you can cycle to the exit - but cycling in or around the grounds is not permitted.
Scone Palace is not part of the National Trust or Historic Scotland, and as such, no discounts are applicable, standard admission rates apply.
The enhanced Palace tours will take approximately one hour and we recommend at least another hour to visit our Shop, Coffee Shop and Gardens.

Yes. Please use discount code SPTOURHH when booking tickets. Access to the Gardens is free and there is a special rate of £10 for Guided Palace tours. We do NOT accept the Historic Scotland Explorer's Pass.
Unfortunately we cannot allow large bags, rucksacks, prams, pushchairs, electric wheelchairs or mobility scooters into the Palace. We do offer a limited supply of manual wheelchairs free of charge. Assisted access is via the Gift Shop.

The Gardens are open from 1st February until 30th March 2025. Please note there is a £5 parking charge (exemptions apply). The Palace will reopen on 1st April 2025. The last day of opening for the Palace in 2025 will be 31st October after which the Gardens will remain open Thursday - Saturday until 17th December.
