We are delighted to announce an Autumn Tree and Shrub Tour with Brian Cunningham, our Head Gardener here at Scone Palace.
Brian will lead a tour of the palace grounds focusing on the heritage of our tree and shrub collection including the Douglas Fir and David Douglas’ connection to Scone Palace, the Victorian Pinetum containing many exotic conifers and the design layout of the gardens. Along the way, he will point out the many trees which have been planted by royalty and visiting dignitaries over the years.
The tour will also include the new development within the walled garden where our gardeners have been busy planting an orchard which includes training, shaping, and pruning the fruit trees and creating an ornamental hedge which appears to grow on stilts.
The tour is limited to only 20 people. Tickets cost £20.00 per person and includes a cup of filter coffee or tea and shortbread with Brian after the tour. The tour is expected to last for approximately two hours and our Coffee and Food Shop will be open all day for refreshments and shopping after. We expect tickets to sell very quickly, so to avoid disappointment, please book yours asap.

Join Carys Hughes from Nature Connects Perthshire CIC for an immersive morning in nature through mindfulness and forest bathing.
Forest Bathing and Mindfulness is the practice of bringing full attention and awareness to the present moment while being outdoors.
It involves using the senses to observe and appreciate the nature environment and bringing a sense of tranquillity and calmness to the body and mind.
This is an opportunity to relax, de-stress and simply be present in the beautiful surroundings of Scone Palace Grounds.
The session will be three hours long, starting at 10.30am, meeting at The Palace Ticket Hut. You will take a slow walk through the trees, immersing yourself in the beautiful surroundings, taking the time to listen to the birds, smell the flowers, feel the soft breeze of Summer and enjoy time to relax and unwind.
Please bring a notepad and pen for words during the session, wear suitable clothes for the weather, bring some water and sunscreen.
